Spotting scams and fake links

Anyone asking you to pay outside checkout, or for your password, is not trading safely — stop and report them.

  • A request to pay by gift card, bank transfer, PayPal or crypto outside checkout.
  • A “support agent” who contacts you first on Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp.
  • A link to a page that asks you to sign in again or enter payment details.
  • Pressure to confirm an order before you have checked it.

Off-platform payments are outside Buyer Protection. Report the user or listing and keep everything inside AuctionHouse.
